Job Description
Under general supervision, the Motion Automation Intelligence- Quality Engineer is responsible for providing design support to the organization, improving safety, quality, delivery, productivity, and material flow.
Requirements
- Designs and implements equipment and tooling for production processes that will improve operational safety, quality, and efficiency.
- Oversees generation and maintenance of CAD drawings for tooling and equipment design.
- Provides support for design and development of new belting products.
- Creates and implements process standards and specifications, introducing appropriate manufacturing controls where possible to provide for consistent operations to these standards.
- Utilizes Lean Manufacturing tools to help advance operational Continuous Improvement throughout the organization.
- Defines best practice approaches and help establish these practices throughout Motion's fabrication facilities.
- Discusses and solves complex problems with manufacturing departments, sub-contractors, suppliers, and customers.
- Typically requires a Bachelor's degree in an Engineering discipline and at least three to five years of applicable design experience.
