Job Description
GEO Prep Academy of Greater Baton Rouge is hiring K-2 teachers for the 2026-27 school year. As an elementary school teacher, you will plan and implement a blended learning environment, provide direct and indirect instruction, and create an engaging learning environment that develops student critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
Requirements
- Plan and implement a blended learning environment
- Provide direct and indirect instruction in Social Studies, Science, Language Arts, Health, and Mathematics
- Create an engaging learning environment
- Communicate regularly with parents
- Continually assess student progress
- Work with Special Education teachers and administration
- Attend grade level and staff meetings
- Establish and enforce rules for behavior
- Have a bachelor's degree or higher with 24 credit hours in content
- Have a valid Louisiana Teaching License for Grades K-8 (preferred)
- Have strong technical skills, particularly in integrating technology
- Have demonstrated volunteer or community service
- Have at least one year of successful teaching in an urban environment
