The Senior Operations Manager provides leadership to the supervisory staff and is responsible for all budgetary, personnel development and operational objectives for the warehouse. They will develop positive employee relations and build leadership bench strengths within the distribution center.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree from a 4 year college or university
- Masters degree preferred
- Minimum 6 to 8 years related experience and/or training; or an equivalent combination of education and training
- Experience with warehouse management systems
- Experience with labor management systems and productivity initiatives preferred
- Lean certifications preferred
- Must be PC literate and proficient with Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint
- Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations
- Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals
- Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public
- Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists
- Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form
