Job Description
As a Transportation Planner at GEODIS, you will be responsible for consolidating client orders, assigning carriers, and developing and implementing system parameters to drive financial impact to clients. You will also respond to client needs, negotiate with carriers, and create financial and service reports. Additionally, you will lead daily, weekly, and monthly meetings, and develop strategic initiatives to improve service, financial savings, efficiency, productivity, and communication.
Requirements
- Minimum 2 years of related experience and/or training
- Minimum 1 year experience in customer service or coordinator role
- Experience with Transportation Management Systems
- Experience with optimization tools preferred
- PC literate with experience with Microsoft Outlook, Word, Access, and Excel
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Excellent planning and organizational skills
- Strong problem-solving skills
- Ability to multitask
