Job Description
The Financial (Games) Analyst records accounting transactions and analyzes financial results of lottery games, providing liaison services between Finance, Sales, and Marketing.
Requirements
- Post daily and weekly lottery game accounting transactions to the general ledger system.
- Reconcile account balances for all game-related income and balance sheet accounts.
- Financial reconciliations and analyses of sales, prize liability, and profitability of all Lottery games.
- Prepare and post monthly accruals.
- Maintain a timely and accurate file of all instant game workpapers concerning prize structures and game parameters.
- Provide liaison services between Finance, Sales, and Marketing on game launches and promotions.
- Perform settlement activities for multi-state lottery games.
- Responds to questions, complaints, and requests for information by telephone, in person, or by mail from citizens, employees, etc.
- Prepare work papers to support external audits.
- Prepares, maintains, and updates files and logs following prescribed methods.
- Prepare reports for weekly/periodic distribution to GLC management.
- Performs QA testing on new games prior to launch.
