Job Description
The laborer is an entry-level position that assists in daily operations such as scrap inspection, sortation, and general yard maintenance. The laborer will learn to operate mobile equipment and perform general maintenance duties on machinery.
Requirements
- Follow all established safety, environmental, and routine procedures
- Operate the fork-lift, loader, and material handler
- Inspect incoming scrap against quality and environmental standards
- Perform daily Routine Equipment Care (REC)
- Detect and report faulty tools, equipment, environmental hazards, and safety hazards
- Maintain work area and equipment in a clean and orderly fashion
- Provide excellent customer service
