Requirements
- Represent GHD as the on-site primary liaison between the construction manager, Owner and the contractor throughout construction of the project
- Provide on-site observation of construction activities including reviewing materials and installation against contract documents and approved submittals for civil, piping, structural, architectural, mechanical, electrical, instrumentation, and controls
- Document activities including written daily reports and photographs
- Contribute to weekly coordination meetings with the Contractor, Owner, and other stakeholders
- Coordinate and oversee third-party materials testing, including but not limited to soils and concrete
- Play a lead role in observing and reporting on site non-compliances to assure excellent site safety and quality management
- Communicate and coordinate with the other multi-discipline project teams including clients and external bodies
- Construction Management: Provide operational support services and sometimes act as first-line supervisor of an area of a construction project
- Health, Safety, and Environment: Follow the organization's health, safety, and environment (HSE) policies, procedures, and mandatory instructions to identify and mitigate environmental risks and risks to the well-being of self and others in the workplace
- Work Scheduling and Allocation: Assign short-term work schedules to a team of subordinates in order to achieve expectations
- Performance Management: Respond to personal objectives and use performance management systems to improve personal performance
- Operational Compliance: Identify, within the team, instances of noncompliance with the organization's policies and procedures and/or relevant regulatory codes and codes of conduct
- Quality Assurance: Plan and coordinate testing and inspection of products and processes
- Organizational Capability Building: Provide coaching to team members to develop their skills
