Camp Lakota Assistant Camp Director

The Assistant Camp Director supports the Camp Director in managing the day-to-day operations of camp and ensuring the successful delivery of program activities and events. This role provides leadership across all aspects of camp operations and steps in as Acting Camp Director when needed.

Requirements

• Must be 25 years of age by the start of camp training
• Must be available for the duration of the overnight camp season including pre-camp trainings and post-camp clean up (May 2026 – August 2026)
• Must possess and maintain a valid CPR/First Aid Certification throughout the position’s employment dates
• Must possess and maintain a valid driver's license and be willing and able to drive camp staff in a GSGLA van
• Must be willing to work weekends, early morning, and late-night hours as needed
• Must submit a basic health history form as set by the American Camping Association
• Ability to spend time sitting, utilizing the computer, and standing and walking throughout the facilities
• Ability to lift up to 45 pounds periodically
• Must possess endurance including prolonged standing, some bending, stooping, and stretching
