GKN Aerospace is seeking a skilled and experienced Manufacturing Engineer - Product & Planning to join the Assembly team in Papendrecht, Netherlands. As Manufacturing Engineer, you will provide manufacturing engineering capability to operational and development Programs to enable and deliver zero defect projects utilizing engineering and problem solving skills.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s in a relevant engineering field (e.g., Aerospace, Mechanical, Engineering, Manufacturing Technology)
- 5+ years’ experience in a regulated manufacturing industry (e.g. aerospace, medical equipment, etc.)
- Familiarity with materials, processes, and special processes relevant to high-precision metal manufacturing, with preference for aerospace industry experience
- Hands-on experience with metrology tools: calipers, micrometers, height gauges. Experience with CMMs (Coordinate Measuring Machines) and software (Zeiss Calypso)
- Strong understanding of quality standards, inspection techniques, and statistical analysis tools (e.g., Pareto charts, histograms). AS9100, AS9102 and AS9145 standards training
- Working knowledge of FAI software: NETInspect, DISCUS
- Good understanding of GD&T (ISO1101/ASME Y14.5M)
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills to collaborate effectively with stakeholders, operators and other team members (manufacturing, operations, design, suppliers, and customers)
- Organizational skills to manage multiple FAIRs in parallel. Ability to work under pressure with tight delivery timelines
- Problem-solving and root cause analysis (for discrepancies found during FAI)
