MES/MOM Developer

As MES/MOM engineer at GKN Aerospace in Papendrecht, The Netherlands, you will be involved in the Development, Implementation, Validation and Support of our Manufacturing Execution System (MES) solution based on Siemens Opcenter Execution, deployed at sites in the APAC, EU and NA regions.

Requirements

• Support and maintain current MES deployments in multiple Production sites.
• Package and deploy new GKN customization releases to Test and Production environments.
• Install/upgrade and configure Opcenter for new implementations and deployments.
• Set up and maintain integrations with surrounding applications using Opcenter Connect MOM.
• Understand business processes and functional requirements and convert into technical specifications.
• Translate functional and design specifications into MES objects: workflows, equipment classes, etc.
• Develop custom logic when justified by a valid business case and no out of the box solution is available.
• Define test specifications, participate in tests and validation.
• Develop tools and templates to speed up the design process, make the support process more efficient and increase application stability and usability.
• Conduct technical training when required to share development best practices.
• Function as MES lead engineer in related projects, growing into the role as technical lead.
