Senior Engineer (Materials & Processes)

We are looking for a Senior Engineer - Materials & Processes with a strong non-metallic materials engineering background to join our materials and test team.

Requirements

• Development of manufacturing processes in relation to polymer, composite and adhesive materials
• Qualification of materials and processes to assure they comply with the requirements
• Assessment of deviations from the specified materials and processes requirements to assure continued airworthiness
• Support robust, manufacturing process technologies as applied to materials
• Collect inputs, related to a task and take it through an identified process to produce an output / deliverable adhering to quality and schedule requirements
• Coordination for material obsolescence and REACh activities
• Lead small project material obsolescence replacement activities
• Preparing and guiding tests/test plans
• Troubleshooting and production support on Materials Issues
• Contribute to the development of GKN as a 'great place to work'
