Chief Engineer - F/T Alaska Ocean

Glacier Fish Company is seeking a Chief Engineer to lead the safe and efficient maintenance and operation of all ship engineering systems. The successful candidate will provide leadership and technical expertise to engineering staff and uphold all vessel, company, and required safety regulations.

Requirements

• Must hold an appropriate U.S. Coast Guard Chief Engineer license of an uninspected fishing vessel, 6600HP
• Bachelor of Science in Marine Engineering Operations from an accredited Maritime Academy is preferred
• 3+ years of experience as a Chief Engineer onboard a fishing vessel preferred
• Work 12 hrs/day for 7 days/week in all weather conditions
• Self-motivated team-player
• Understand instructions and safety rules in English
• Must be able to provide 2 recent positive references from previous employers
• Capable of climbing and descending steep stairs and vertical ladders
• Share spaces with others including crew quarters, dining areas, and bathrooms
