Job Description
North Star Fishing Company, a leading producer of frozen-at-sea groundfish products, is seeking a Purser to work aboard their commercial vessels operating in the Bering Sea, Pacific Ocean, Gulf of Alaska, and Aleutian Islands. The Purser/Data Manager assists onboard managers with administrative duties, communicates vessel information, provides medical assistance, inspects product quality, and maintains records. The role involves 16-hour shifts and shipyard duties.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Biology, Marine Science or related field preferred.
- 2+ years’ of experience as a Purser or Observer onboard a fishing vessel preferred.
- Experience providing medical treatment or providing patient care preferred.
- 1+ year of experience performing administrative work.
