Grading Superintendent

The Grading Superintendent supervises a crew of operators and grade checkers in the company grading operations, assessing job priorities, reading and following plans, and conducting daily safety talks.

Requirements

• Ability to accurately read plans and specifications
• Ability to understand job constrains and budgets
• Ability to work independently with little instructions
• Self-motivated with strong time management skills
• Capable of remaining organized while multi-tasking
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Knowledge of current grading equipment capabilities
• Basic computer skills (Microsoft Office, Internet Search)
• Basic phone skills (calls, reading and responding to emails and texts)
• Able to travel within local areas
• Must be dependable and willing to report to work on time
• Ability to work extended hours during the construction season
• Must be able to pass a drug test and background check
