Job Description
Bioprocess Scientist (Downstream) is responsible for purification and characterization of viral vectors, biologics, and recombinant proteins for process development and manufacturing activities.
Requirements
- Masters degree in Biology, Biochemistry, Chemical Engineering, Biotechnology, or related field
- 2+ years of hands-on purification experience (academic or industry)
- Ion-exchange and affinity chromatography
- Buffer preparation
- Basic analytical characterization methods
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet project timelines
- Experience with AAV or other viral vector purification
- Hands-on experience with AKTA systems and Unicorn software
- Hands-on experience in CsCl density gradient ultracentrifugation, chromatography techniques, and tangential flow filtration (TFF)
- Strong analytical and documentation skills
