AI Lead Engineer

As a business unit within Axonlab, we develop highly innovative solutions for our employees and our customers (hospitals, medical practices, laboratories, and research centers). We are looking for a Lead AI Engineer to lead the design, development, and deployment of AI/ML solutions across multiple parallel initiatives.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in AI/ML engineering, including ownership of complex, production-grade AI solutions.
• Strong hands-on background ideally gained in a top-tier tech company (FAANG-level or equivalent).
• Deep understanding of ML algorithms, NLP, and/or vision models.
• Proficiency in Python and major ML frameworks (TensorFlow, PyTorch, Scikit-learn).
• Proven ability to design and implement scalable, production-ready ML systems.
• Strong problem decomposition skills - ability to translate high-level concepts into deliverable workstreams.
• Experience leading or mentoring technical teams and driving engineering excellence.
• Ability to handle multiple initiatives simultaneously and deliver in a high-velocity environment.
• Excellent communication skills and strong ownership mindset.
• Very good command of English.
