Assistant Controller / Controller

GlossGenius is seeking an Assistant Controller/Controller to lead its accounting function and ensure accurate and timely financial reporting and compliance. The role will oversee the entire accounting process, including financial reporting, GAAP compliance, internal controls, and tax compliance. The ideal candidate will have 8+ years of progressive accounting experience, with a strong background in GAAP, financial reporting, and system implementation. They will also have experience with AI tools, equity administration, and team leadership.

Requirements

• 8+ years of progressive accounting experience
• CPA or equivalent professional certification
• Deep expertise in GAAP with proven experience in maintaining GAAP-compliant records for a SaaS, Fintech, or technology business
• Clear track record of success in building scalable financial processes and systems from the ground up
• Direct experience leveraging AI tools to automate core accounting functions
• Experience managing equity administration/Cap Table management and 409A valuations
• Proficiency with a major ERP system
• Analytical thinker with the ability to translate complex financial data into actionable insights for executive leadership
• Exceptional communication and leadership skills with a track record of effectively partnering with cross-functional teams
