The Food Security and Livelihoods (FSL) Manager will oversee the implementation of GOAL's FSL programs in Idleb, Syria, ensuring high-quality and integrated implementation of food security, CVA, basic needs, and livelihoods programs. The role involves leading operational planning, implementation, monitoring, and reporting of FSL activities, direct line management of field-based FSL staff, and coordination with MEAL, Finance, and other departments.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Agriculture, Economics, Business Administration, International Development, or a related field.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in humanitarian programming, with at least 2 years in a managerial role.
- Proven experience in CVA/MPCA, food security, basic needs, livelihoods/ERMS (SME, graduation approach, market systems, VSLAs).
- Experience in project management, including work planning, budgeting, and reporting.
- Strong knowledge of market assessment tools and market-based programming.
- Fluent written and spoken Arabic.
- Excellent computer skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Ability to travel frequently to field locations in Syria under sometimes difficult conditions.
