Job Description
The Cooking Activity Specialist will plan group activities, create and execute cooking lesson plans, and maintain supervision of program participants. The role involves building positive relationships with youth, enforcing program rules, and responding to participant behavior issues. The specialist will work with children on developmental and emotional issues, encourage program participation and social skills development, and display or provide an opportunity to exhibit children's food work.
Requirements
- 2+ years teaching experience with middle or elementary school children
- Bachelor's degree preferred
- Knowledgeable and prior experience successfully teaching and instructing youth
- Ability to work collaboratively
- Passion for the mission and interest in the field of education and youth development
