Job Description
The Residential Aid Supervisor oversees Residential Aids and ensures safe, consistent operations within Baxter Safe Haven, a 24-hour program. This role supports daily shelter operations, supervises staff, monitors documentation, and ensures compliance with agency policies and the requirements of the New York City Department of Homeless Services (DHS).
Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED required; Associate’s Degree preferred.
- Minimum 2 years of experience in a shelter, Safe Haven, or residential setting.
- Knowledge of NYC DHS procedures and reporting requirements preferred.
- Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
- Ability to complete documentation accurately and maintain confidentiality.
- Food Protection Certificate required or must be obtained.
- Driver’s License preferred.
- Bilingual candidates encouraged to apply.
