Job Description
The accountant is responsible for the firm’s day-to-day accounting operations and financial reporting, including weekly accounts payable processing, monthly account reconciliations, month-end close activities, and preparation of financial statements with meaningful analysis.
Requirements
- Review, process, and manage accounts payable, including responding to and investigating vendor inquiries
- Perform monthly balance sheet account reconciliations and maintain detailed supporting schedules using advanced Excel functionality
- Execute month-end close activities and prepare financial statements with analysis of budget-to-actual and prior-year variances
- Prepare schedules and provide documentation to support the annual audit process
- Assist with preparation and distribution of required employee communications related to the 401(k), ESOP, and benefit plans
- Develop and maintain financial models, ad hoc analyses, and special projects as requested
