Job Description
We are seeking a Senior Open Pit Production Engineer to join our innovative team at Gold Fields. The successful candidate will be responsible for facilitating the safe and optimal extraction of gold from surface mining operations. The role involves assisting in the development and implementation of production plans, supervising the pit design process, and actively mentoring and coaching the Mine Planning team.
Requirements
- Tertiary Qualifications in Mining Engineering, or a related discipline
- Supervisory or Management Training completed
- Quarry Manager's Certificate is preferred
- Substantial open pit engineering experience, with exposure to all production phases, preferably gold
- Exposure to both contractor and owner miner environments
- Proficiency with the Microsoft Office suite and mining software such as Deswik
