Optometrist (Merced SHAW)

Golden Valley Health Centers is seeking an Optometrist to provide high-quality optometric care for patients of all ages. The Optometrist will perform exams, diagnose vision issues, prescribe treatments, and support urgent care needs.

Requirements

• Evaluate, diagnose, treat, and provide consultation to pediatric, adolescent, and adult patients presenting with vision problems and eye diseases.
• Prescribe, fit, and adjust eyeglasses, contact lenses, and other vision aids.
• Detection and non-surgical treatment of eye disease such as glaucoma, cataracts, and Macular Degeneration.
• Diabetic Eye Care including retinal screening.
• Treatment of acute eye conditions such as infections, and corneal abrasions.
• Direct staff and assist in the development of the overall practice.
• Demonstrates effective communication and problem-solving skills.
• Compliance with Golden Valley Health Center's personnel policies, clinical protocols, and Principles of Practice.
• Participate in Golden Valley Health Centers' Quality Assurance and peer review program, including participation on the Staff Performance Audit Committee.
• Attend and participate in General Medical Staff meetings and other assigned committee activities.
