Senior Software Engineer, Generative AI, Core ML

Google is looking for a Senior Software Engineer to develop Generative AI and Core ML technologies, working on a specific project critical to Google’s needs. The successful candidate will transform the development of AI agents from an artisanal craft into an engineering discipline, architecting and productionizing horizontal infrastructure, and leading deep audits of high-impact agents. Responsibilities include generalizing horizontal tools, applying validated design principles, conducting deep architectural reviews, extending automated prompt optimization frameworks, and implementing code-level safety enforcements.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience
• 5 years of experience in software development
• 3 years of experience with one or more of the following ML application: NLP, computer vision, Speech/audio, specialization in another ML field
• 3 years of experience leading ML productionization or infrastructure optimization
• 1 year of experience in building Generative AI or agentic applications
