Senior Software Engineering Manager, Mobile Maps Innovation

The Senior Software Engineering Manager will lead the strategy and execution for new ways people search and interact with the physical world, ensuring Maps remains an indispensable daily tool. The role involves overseeing the development of features driven by deep understanding of user location and routines to provide "just-in-time" value, growing, mentoring, and scaling a team, and fostering a culture of technical excellence and psychological safety.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
• 8 years of experience with one or more general purpose programming languages including but not limited to: Java, C/C++ or Python.
• 5 years of experience in a technical leadership role.
• 5 years of experience in a people management or team leadership role.
• Experience driving GenAI adoption for innovation and productivity.
• Experience working with remote/distributed teams as well as teams on the ground, maintaining high velocity across time zones.
