Senior Staff Software Engineer, Cloud SQL for SQL Server

We're looking for a Senior Staff Software Engineer to lead the design and implementation of a managed SQL Server offering in Cloud SQL. The team provides a fast-growing database engine and manages all aspects of database service implementations.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience
• 8 years of experience programming in C++
• 5 years of experience with design and architecture; and testing/launching software products
• Experience with system design and distributed systems
• Experience in database
• Master’s degree or PhD in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related technical field (preferred)
• 8 years of experience with data structures and algorithms (preferred)
• 5 years of experience in a technical leadership role leading project teams and setting technical direction (preferred)
• Experience in SQL Server or other relational databases (preferred)
• Experience with Go, Java and Python (preferred)
