Job Description
Gotion Inc., an innovation leader in electric vehicle and energy storage technologies, is building a Manufacturing facility in Manteno, IL. The Mechanical Engineer – Battery Systems team focuses on the design, development, and testing of high-voltage battery systems. The role involves full engineering lifecycle, from concept to implementation. The company values innovation and offers opportunities for growth in a globally sustainable environment.
Requirements
- Master’s degree in mechanical engineering or related discipline
- 3+ years of experience in HV battery design, automotive product design, or relevant industries
- Strong proficiency in CAD software (preferably CATIA V5 or V6)
- Experience in design for manufacturing and assembly (DFM/DFA)
- Solid understanding of various materials and mechanical joining techniques
- Proven problem-solving skills and ability to execute contingency plans
- Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
- Excellent communication skills - verbal, written, and presentation (English)
