Job Description
GFOA's public finance internship program offers students a chance to develop skills in public sector operations and gain experience supporting various programs. Interns will gather information, conduct research, assist with projects, and contribute to GFOA's organizational work. The role involves a mix of tasks within and beyond GFOA's client projects.
Requirements
- Strong interest in a career in the public sector or public finance industry
- Currently enrolled in or recently completed an undergraduate or advanced degree program in public policy, public affairs, public administration, political science, business administration, or a related field
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work effectively in small teams
- Ability to work independently or with minimal supervision
- Critical thinking and problem-solving skills
