Software Engineer, Deployment

GovWell is a startup building an AI-powered platform to transform how governments serve communities. We're hiring a Software Engineer, Deployment to help us scale faster in the industry. The role involves designing and implementing repeatable deployment frameworks, building scalable migration and data tooling, and partnering with customer-facing teams to unblock complex launches.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience as a backend or full-stack engineer in a production SaaS environment
• Strong systems thinker who can translate ambiguous real-world requirements into scalable technical abstractions
• Experience building data migration pipelines, ETL systems, or integration-heavy software
• Comfortable working directly with customers or client-facing teams on technical deployments
• Strong coding ability with experience shipping production systems
• High-ownership operator who prefers building durable systems over one-off fixes
• Clear written communicator who documents patterns, standards, and technical decisions effectively
