Job Description
Grab is seeking a Lead Engineer, AI Agents & Backend Platforms to lead the design, development, and maintenance of corporate systems, driving technological advancements and setting the standard for engineering excellence. The role is onsite based in Petaling Jaya, Malaysia.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field
- at least 8 years of software engineering experience
- foundation in data structures, algorithms, operating systems, and networking
- proficiency in at least one backend programming language, preferably Golang
- experience with backend systems, including databases, caching, NoSQL, and application servers
- experience leading and mentoring engineering teams
- experience with cloud services, OLTP systems, and consumer-facing products
- experience with microservices architecture and RESTful API design
- familiarity with DevOps practices and CI/CD pipelines
- demonstrated leadership in driving technical decisions and defining engineering standards
