Software Engineer IV

W.W. Grainger is seeking a Software Engineer IV to develop applications that align with a strategic vision. The role involves leading a team, coaching engineers, and partnering with key stakeholders. The successful candidate will have a deep understanding of the business requirements and technical solutions.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience in computer science or similar;
• 5+ years experience as a Software Engineer;
• Demonstrated expertise in FinOps practices and cloud financial governance;
• Proficiency in fullstack and API development;
• Strong AWS architecture experience;
• Expert knowledge of programming skills;
• Demonstrated knowledge of distributed system design and integration patterns;
• Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills;
• Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies and DevOps practices;
• Experience with analyzing, interpreting and communicating complex problems and practices;
• Experience with AI/ML concepts is a plus
