Job Description
House Counsel I role defending insured clients and Grange Insurance in an ethical and professional manner, supporting day-to-day office operations.
Requirements
- Member of the Indiana State Bar
- At least three years of experience in insurance defense litigation
- Ability to litigate and defend clients in both state and federal court
- Ability to litigate and defend both tort/negligence actions and coverage disputes
- Personal lines and commercial lines experience and knowledge of claim values
- Good knowledge of the laws of tort/negligence, civil procedure, and insurance contracts
- Valid driver's license
- Good analytical, organizational, legal research, and written and verbal communication skills
- Good knowledge of Windows Suite products (Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.)
