Job Description
We're looking for a field mechanic to join our team at Granite Construction Incorporated. The ideal candidate will have a high school diploma, 1 year of experience as a field technician, and knowledge of hydraulic systems. The position involves troubleshooting and installing equipment, working irregular hours, and responding to emergency calls as needed.
Requirements
- Service trucks and equipment to meet the field requirements
- Operate equipment and tools involved in shop and field repairs
- Troubleshoot and repair various electrical assemblies
- Rebuild replace or repair drill rigs parts and ancillary equipment
- Oversee completion of all repairs
- Oversee shop fabrication and assembly operations
- Locate and requisition parts for repairs
- Understand and implement laws and regulations on transportation and safety
- Keep shop, equipment and tools in safe operating condition
- Maintain accurate information for payroll reporting
