As the Managing Director, Corporate Tax Solutions you’ll deliver personalized relationship driven services to create demand in the Pittsburgh market while leading engagement teams for Corporate Tax Solutions. You’ll collaborate with other team members and specialists in our tax practice to support all areas of the client’s tax functions.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Master's degree in taxation, LLM in Taxation or JD preferred
- A minimum of 10 plus years of related work experience in a similar consulting practice or function servicing clients at a national level
- Relevant certification such as a CPA or JD is required. If you do not hold a relevant certification at time of hire, you must be able to earn one within 18 months of starting with Grant Thornton.
- Experience in corporate income tax and strong ASC 740 Accounting for Income Taxes skills
- Excellent analytical, technical, and tax accounting/technology skills with proficiency in US GAAP and corporate income tax laws and regulations
- Strong working knowledge of broad-based statutory income tax compliance and consulting including state and local income taxes, taxation of international activity, and transfer pricing
- Exceptional client service, communication skills, interpersonal, and presentation skills
- Prior business development and sales experience is required
- Prior experience in practice and team development is required
- Extensive experience in the manufacturing industry required
- Strong analytical skills and ability to perform quantitative analysis and develop business cases
- Ability to travel as needed
