Senior Thermal Engineer

Graphcore is seeking a Senior Thermal Engineer to design, develop, and evaluate liquid cooling solutions for AI data center hardware. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of thermal management principles and experience with system level thermal design focusing on direct liquid cooling and cold plate cooling heatsink technology.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s, Master’s or Ph. D degrees in mechanical engineering
• Minimum of 10 years of server thermal design experience
• Experience in thermal and acoustics, as it relates to server products
• Understanding of the basic foundations of thermal fluid dynamics and heat transfer
• Ability to lead the design and development of liquid cooling solutions
• Ability to perform thermal simulations and analyses utilizing industry-standard software
• Ability to develop and execute test plans to validate thermal solutions
• Experience working closely with system architects, chip and board designers, and software/firmware engineers
• Understanding of microprocessor architecture and thermal profiles
• Good root-cause analysis and problem-solving skills
