The Manager of Process Control Engineering provides leadership to the team supporting a large Pulp and Paper Mill at our Macon, GA Mill.
Requirements
- Manage a team responsible for the installation/modification of process control system software and application software.
- Oversee the process control/operational technology (OT) system for the whole facility, including break/fix, systems, and large OT projects
- Engage a team to partner with operating departments to meet OT needs and implement control strategies for new process equipment.
- Modify/enhance controls/OT on existing equipment; work with maintenance/operations personnel to identify and resolve problems with equipment to keep the process within availability and quality KPI limits.
- Identify requirements for capital investments, cost reduction, and process control equipment and steward continual improvement.
- Assist in preparation of budgets and standards for cost measurement.
- Provide leadership with the implementation of problem-solving strategies and the execution of key performance objectives.
- Create, implement, and monitor local KPI’s for the department.
- Liaison with other department managers to optimize mill production and alignment of process control systems with all improvement initiatives.
- Foster employee engagement initiatives.
- Encourage a behavior-based safety process.
