Gravie is seeking a Data Platform Architect to lead the design and implementation of their next generation operational data platform. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in architecting and operating large-scale data integrations, streaming pipelines, and operational data movement in a cloud environment. They will be responsible for defining the technical blueprint for Gravie's data platform, unifying data from internal operational systems, vendors, and partners, and evolving beyond traditional batch processing and point-to-point integrations to a near-real time data ecosystem.
Requirements
- 8-15 years of experience architecting and operating large-scale data integrations, streaming pipelines, and operational data movement in a cloud environment
- Deep hands-on experience with Kafka, Flink, and Debezium (or similar), and an understanding of stateful stream processing and 'exactly-once' delivery semantics
- Cloud Proficiency: Extensive experience with AWS
- Data Observability Expertise: Deep understanding of data observability concepts like freshness, distribution, volume, schema, and lineage
- Healthcare Domain Knowledge: Prior experience in a healthcare setting, with a deep understanding of HIPAA, ePHI, and the requirements for maintaining secure data exchange and access with external parties
- Technical Mastery: Expert-level proficiency in SQL and Python
- Strategic Thinking: Demonstrated ability to take complex, ambiguous problems and independently drive them to concrete, measurable solutions that align with business goals
- Communication Skills: Success in driving results through influence and collaboration, with the ability to translate technical concepts for business stakeholders and executive leadership
