Software Engineering Manager (PHP)

Role Overview

As a Software Engineering Manager, you'll lead and empower an Agile development team, fostering a collaborative, high-performing culture while delivering high-quality software solutions.

What You Will Do

Lead and manage a team of 4–5 software engineers, oversee the development of new features on the Beakon EHS platform, collaborate with Engineering, Product, and Design teams, and work across the full software development lifecycle.

Requirements

• Strong verbal and written communication skills in English
• Experience managing change and resolving conflicts constructively
• 3+ years' experience working in Agile software development environments (e.g. Scrum)
• Proven experience delivering enterprise applications using PHP, MySQL/MariaDB, and JavaScript
• Experience with SuiteCRM integrations using REST APIs, webhooks, and AWS-hosted infrastructure
• Front-end development experience using HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, jQuery, and AJAX
• Solid database development skills, including query optimisation
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines, Git, and Docker
