Job Description
We are looking for a Summer Camp Unit Leader to join our team at the Y! We spend our days positively impacting the summer camp community around us, helping children reach their potential, and changing lives in our Y community.
Requirements
- At least 18 years old
- High school graduate or equivalent
- Or enrolled in a minimum of 2 years of child development coursework approved by state licensing requirements
- Experience working with children and at least two seasons working as a Y Camp Counselor or as a counselor in a comparable program
- Enthusiasm, sense of humor, patience and experience working with children
- Ability to lead and motivate a team
- Ability to deal effectively with inappropriate behavior and recognize hazard situations
