Job Description
The Greater Philadelphia YMCA is looking for a Summer Camp Unit Leader to join their team. The ideal candidate will have experience working with children and a passion for sharing their enthusiasm with others. They will be responsible for planning and overseeing camp activities, leading and motivating a team, and ensuring the safety and well-being of campers and staff.
Requirements
- At least 18 years old
- High school graduate or equivalent
- Experience working with children and at least two seasons working as a Y Camp Counselor or as a counselor in a comparable program
- Enthusiasm, sense of humor, patience and experience working with children
- Ability to lead and motivate a team
- Ability to deal effectively with inappropriate behavior and recognize hazard situations
