Senior Lifeguard - Part Time

The Greater Vallejo Recreation District is seeking a Senior Lifeguard-Part Time to assist with the safety and general welfare of patrons, instruct in the aquatic Learn to Swim program, and supervise the daily operation and maintenance of the public swimming pool.

Requirements

• Possession of current Lifeguard Training, CPR/PR, Lifeguard Training Instructor or Water Safety Instructor
• Pass practical skills test and written test
• Possession of, or ability to obtain, a valid California driver’s license is desirable
• Ability to interact effectively with diverse groups of people and respond to sensitive situations
• Ability to work independently in the absence of supervision
• Ability to communicate clearly and concisely, both orally and in writing
• Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with those contacted in the course of work
• Ability to perform physical duties required of a lifeguard, including swimming, treading water, and assisting with water rescues
