Production Lead

Production Lead assists the production supervisor with daily production activities and manages personnel within assigned production cells. Requirements

• Assists in supervision with directing the daily activities of production personnel to ensure quality, timeliness, and safe completion of work.
• Participates in production planning, as necessary.
• Aids in the setup and implementation of new jobs when required.
• Performs job setups or instructs and guides other personnel in the performance of setups.
• Assists machine operators with machine adjustments, tooling changes, and quality checks.
• Performs Tool Life Management studies and adjusts TLM targets.
• Diagnoses and troubleshoots tooling problems and recommends improvements.
• Recognizes and reports errors in programming and operations.
• Collaborates with programming personnel to correct such errors.
• Requires knowledge of SPC procedures and applications.
• Able to train others in SPC applications.
• Assumes full responsibility for operations of assigned department in the absence of the department supervisor.
• Performs miscellaneous work assignments as directed.
• Must maintain a good attendance record.
