The Maintenance Technician will perform general building and grounds maintenance and repairs, including seasonal landscaping and custodial functions. The role requires trouble-shooting plumbing, electrical, and HVAC issues, and performing repairs and replacements as needed.
Requirements
- Trouble shoots plumbing, electrical, and HVAC issues
- Repairs and replaces plumbing fixtures, valves, and pumps
- Replaces breakers, outlets, switches, and light fixtures
- Responsible for HVAC preventative maintenance
- Performs carpentry and finish work related to wall, floor, and other building improvements
- Assembles, repairs, and installs file cabinets, coat racks, shelving, desks, tables and other related items
- Operates as delivery person between library locations within the system
- Participates in preventative maintenance plan
- Responsible for safety system support
- Sets up meeting rooms, arranging tables and chairs, as needed
- Performs outdoor work with seasonal lawn care and basic landscaping
- Performs preventative maintenance and upkeep of lawn equipment
- Assists departments and branches with special facilities projects as needed
- Interacts with vendors to provide information and answer questions, as needed and directed by supervisor
