Director of Choral Activities (Part-Time)

The Director of Choral Activities provides leadership for the Greenville University Choir, an ensemble composed of both students and community members, and supports the mission of the University through excellence in music and performance.

Requirements

• Master's degree in choral conducting, music education, vocal performance, sacred music, or a closely related field
• Demonstrated experience directing choral ensembles
• Experience conducting both vocal ensembles and instrumental ensembles or orchestra
• Strong knowledge of choral literature across a variety of styles, periods, and traditions
• Ability to teach healthy vocal technique and develop singers of varying skill levels
• Strong rehearsal planning and ensemble leadership skills
• Ability to recruit, retain, and develop student singers
