Middle School Humanities Co-Teacher, Grades 6-8

Greenwich Country Day School seeks a Middle School Humanities Co-Teacher to start in August 2026. The Co-Teacher will co-teach one section of 8th Grade U.S. History and one section of Middle School English, and will staff the Middle School Writing Lab, providing support to students with written assignments across disciplines.

Requirements

• Instructional responsibility for History and English in assigned grade level(s)
• Collaboration with co-teachers to provide instruction
• Collaboration with advisors, learning specialist teachers, and school psychologists to understand and support individual students' learning needs
• Participation in the oversight of the progress of each child in the subject area
• Participation in the assessment of all students' progress in both written and verbal reports
• Communication with parents
• Collaboration with colleagues on grade level and interdisciplinary faculty teams, Middle School faculty and staff, and the broader school community
• Supervision of students during recess, lunch, arrival, and dismissal as requested by the Division Head
