Job Description
We are seeking a Reinsurance Associate to join our team. The Reinsurance Associate will support the development, execution, and management of Group 1001’s annuity reinsurance programs.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Actuarial Science, Economics, Mathematics, or a related field.
- 4-6 years of experience in annuity reinsurance or related transaction support at an insurer, reinsurer, or consulting firm
- Familiarity with life and annuity reinsurance structures (e.g., coinsurance, funds-withheld, modified coinsurance, offshore arrangements, trust/collateral mechanics).
- Experience with hedging and ALM a plus, particularly foreign currency hedging and duration risk management.
- Strong quantitative and analytical skills with proficiency in Excel (required).
- Excellent organization, attention to detail, and written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively across teams and manage multiple priorities in a dynamic environment.
- Curiosity and desire to learn about global reinsurance markets and how to participate in emerging opportunities in this market.
