Software Engineer, Backend

Grow Therapy is hiring a Software Engineer to help build and evolve the backend systems that power their platform. The role involves designing, implementing, and shipping server-side features and services that directly impact how clients and providers connect, communicate, and access care.

Requirements

• 3+ years of professional software engineering experience
• Strong backend engineering experience, including service design, data modeling, and API development
• Experience building and maintaining production systems at scale where reliability, data quality, and correctness matter
• Comfortable working in Python (preferred) with a solid understanding of backend fundamentals
• Strong execution skills and the ability to deliver scoped work independently
• Curiosity and a willingness to learn complex systems and new problem domains
• A product-minded approach — you understand how technical decisions impact user experience and business outcomes
• Strong collaboration and communication skills, with a track record of working closely with cross-functional partners including Product, Design, and Data Science
• Experience using AI-assisted dev tools (e.g., Cursor, GitHub Copilot)
• A bias toward ownership, speed, learning, and continuous improvement
