The Group Facilitator is responsible for providing group therapy, guiding discussions, managing dynamics, and ensuring objectives are met in a collaborative and inclusive manner. A High School Diploma or GED is required, with a Bachelor’s degree preferred. Two years of sobriety and relevant experience are also required.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED
- 2 years of sobriety prior to hire (if recovering from a substance use disorder)
- Participation in a self-help program
- 2 years of experience with chemical dependency and/or dual diagnosed clients
- CPR Certification (preferred)
- Minimum certification in a field related to services being provided
- ADCA certification (in Maine)
- Knowledge of principles and practices of the discipline
- Verbal and written communication skills
- Knowledge of Joint Commission Standards
