GROUP FACILITATOR

The Group Facilitator is responsible for providing group therapy, guiding discussions, managing dynamics, and ensuring objectives are met in a collaborative and inclusive manner. A High School Diploma or GED is required, with a Bachelor’s degree preferred. Two years of sobriety and relevant experience are also required.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED
• 2 years of sobriety prior to hire (if recovering from a substance use disorder)
• Participation in a self-help program
• 2 years of experience with chemical dependency and/or dual diagnosed clients
• CPR Certification (preferred)
• Minimum certification in a field related to services being provided
• ADCA certification (in Maine)
• Knowledge of principles and practices of the discipline
• Verbal and written communication skills
• Knowledge of Joint Commission Standards
