We are seeking a Development DBA (PL/SQL) to participate in production implementations, design and develop scripts for automation, data processing, and database maintenance and monitoring solutions, and analyze and troubleshoot database and application performance issues.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in computer science/management information systems or an associated discipline or FOUR (4) additional years of experience
- Minimum of SIX (6) years of job-related experience as an Oracle Database Developer
- Ability to create, modify, and tune SQL queries and PL\%2SQL code
- Ability to troubleshoot and resolve data, system performance issues
- Knowledge with AWS cloud technologies like RDS, Lambda, EC2, Redshift is a plus
- Ability to work effectively both independently and within cross-functional teams
- Ability to obtain and maintain a Federal or DoD "PUBLIC TRUST"
- Strong expertise in Oracle performance tuning, including SQL and PL\%2SQL optimization
- In-depth knowledge and hands-on experience with Oracle SQL and PL\%2SQL, including triggers, procedures, functions, and packages
- Proficiency in SQL Developer, SQL Loader, and related Oracle tools
- Excellent analytical, organizational, problem-solving, and time-management skills
- Strong verbal and written communication and listening skills
- Proven ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment, with strong planning and coordination capabilities
- High levels of self-motivation and adaptability, with the ability to meet aggressive deadlines
- Ability to work independently with minimal direction
- Solid understanding of the software development life cycle (SDLC), including Agile and Waterfall methodologies
- Demonstrated ability to research and resolve complex technical problems in a distributed and complex IT environment, collaborating with both local and remote teams
