PT Farm Assistant

The Farm Assistant will work directly with the Farm Manager to ensure the success of the Guilford College Farm in achieving its diverse objectives, including growing and harvesting vegetables, direct marketing, and farm maintenance and organization, while also providing education and facilitating tours and group visits to the farm.

Requirements

• Physically fit and capable of doing moderate to strenuous physical labor on an ongoing basis
• Familiarity with the basics of growing vegetables
• Prior use of common small-scale agricultural tools and equipment
• Reliable, efficient, and thorough work
• Ability to work effectively with others in a diverse setting
